Young people present ideas for more clean energy at EU Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels

Gathering 20 young people from around Europe from the Power Shifts project to offer their perspective on the future of energy in Europe, the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) kicked off with a special workshop “Youth on Energy”, inspired by the European Commission’s proposed package on “Clean Energy for all Europeans”. 10 claims were formulated in 4 topic clusters and sent to the European Commission for their future work.

The workshop’s aim at EUSEW is to compile a list of future steps and viewpoints from youth regarding current trends in European energy policy. They will take into consideration discussions already held within the Power Shifts project...

New material for the classroom: Asylum procedures

 

Together with our seminar trainers and asylum seekers from the refugee shelter of the Berliner Stadtmission we worked last year on material on the Asylum procedures in Germany. The texts can be now used and tested in the classroom as starting point for further discussions.

On tour in Erfurt

Today our seminar trainers from Dresden and Berlin are on tour in Erfurt. Beginning of May the project “Mix It” brought together vocational students with and without a refugee background together learning how to make videos and develop storylines. Mix It is realized by the Deutschen Filmakademie, bilderbewegen e.V. and the Schwarzkopf Foundation, funded by the family minstry within the framework of the federal programme “Demokratie leben!”, the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Peter Ustinov Foundation.
