The Schwarzkopf Foundation organises seminars which motivate students and schoolchildren between 16 and 28 years to work intensively on current European issues.
They are mostly organised directly in schools in order to integrate European dimensions into everyday life for many young Europeans. The seminars last for approximately half a day and are conducted by young peer trainers for pupils in a variety of school types and regions starting from 9th or 10th grade in 16 European countries.
Understanding and shaping European politics
Our core aim is to motivate young people to get participate in European politics.
The seminars convey a basic understanding of European topics and challenges. Through interactive methods and modules in small groups pupils have the possibility to ask their questions and work on possible answers on their own. In discussions pupils develop own positions and learn how to engage in an open dialogue with their peers.
