We cordially invite you to join us in paying tribute to an organisation that has been honoured for its extraordinary European commitment.

with a laudation by Martin Schulz MdB
followed by a panel discussion

This year, the Schwarzkopf Foundation honours the civil rights initiative New Europeans, which is campaigning for an #EUGreenCard to ring fence the rights and status of EU citizens currently resident in the UK and Britons currently resident in Europe.

In a few weeks the European Parliament elections will take place.  Populists and nationalists are on the rise and fuel a Europe-wide nationalist identity debate. The European free movement of workers is not only being questioned in the Brexit debate at the national level. What are the prospects for European mobility after the election? Will the rights of migrants in Europe be curtailed even more? How can a Europe of diversity be defended? Discuss Europe’s opportunities and prospects after the EP elections and before the Brexit with long-standing EP President Martin Schulz, the New Europeans and young Europeans Madeleina Kay, Lukas David Meyer and Evgenia Lopata.

The Schwarzkopf Europe Prize has been awarded every year since 2003 by a jury of young people from all over Europe to decision-makers* and initiatives from politics or civil society. The Schwarzkopf Foundation thus gives the young generation the opportunity to honour individuals and organisations who, in their view, have made an exceptional contribution to European understanding and ideals.

We look forward to your participation and ask you to register by 29 May online, by e-mail or by fax (030/280 95 150). By attending the event, our audience agrees that the photos taken there may be used for public relations purposes.
