Kick for Europe – Youth Exchange and Football for Europe
The project “Kick for Europe – Youth Exchange and Football for Europe” is a European youth exchange that combines football and European educational work. The aim is to use the enthusiasm for football to create room for age-based discussions European issues, such as right-wing populism, migration and integration.
The Schwarzkopf Foundation developed the thematic conception of the workshops, and with the help of experienced Understanding Europe-trainers, workshops were held on European integration and participation possibilities of young people in Europe. It aimed at raising interest in political education and strengthen social skills.
Between June 4th and 8th of June 2018, 24 young people between the ages of 14 and 17 from Vienna and Frankfurt already participated in the first series of the project, whose second event in Vienna will take place between 7th-11th October 2019.

The project was carried out in cooperation with the Lernort Stadion e.V. and supported by the Federal Foreign Office, the TUI Foundation, the BildungsArena Frankfurt and the Austrian Football Association.
