Evgenija Lopata is our Young European of the Year 2015

Evgenija Lopata, born in 1994 in Ukraine, studies Business Studies and Management Science at the Karl-Franzens University Graz, as well as Cultural Management and Foreign Languages at the Jurij-Fedjkowytsch National University Czernowitz.

Evgenija was politically and socially engaged in her home town Czernowitz during her high school years. Early on, she recognized what power culture has to support the interaction between people and unite them. Her project “Nielsen in Ukraine” supported the Danish author Klaus Beck Nielsen with his book presentation throughout Ukraine. The book (Nielsen. History of the 21st Century. Poems, Pictures, Songs and Stories from Iran and Afghanistan to Ukraine) addresses topics such as democracy, peace and the pain caused by war.
