25 Sep Summer Training for “Understanding Europe” in Goslar
On September 21st, trainers from the project “Understanding Europe ” met in Goslar to discuss the planning of the project in the coming years. Besides the planning and conception for the next years, there was also input and workshop with speakers from Life Back Home and the Network for Democracy and Courage e.V. (NDC).
Since 2009, the Peer Project Europe Understanding in general and vocational schools has been active. Initially initiated to establish a dialog room with Europe in a youthful and interactive way, the project is now promoting key competencies for a participatory teaching and learning culture that involves young people in their educational process.
Last year alone, 2,120 hours of dialogue on Europe, democracy and participation were brought to the classroom with 282 trainers in 15 countries through the support of the Mercator Foundation, the TUI Foundation and the Federal Program “Demokratie Leben!” Funded by the Ministry of Family Affairs.
