What motivates young voters in the 2025 federal election? Discuss with Prof Dr Stefan Marschall, political scientist and head of Wahl-O-Mat research (HHU Düsseldorf), and David Duong to gain exciting insights into one of the most important tools of political education! The Wahl-O-Mat has been an indispensable companion to modern election campaigns since 2002. It remains true to its basic idea, but has been continuously adapted to technical, social and communicative changes.

We are delighted to welcome Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens and Women and top candidate of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in Berlin, Ruppert Stüwe, top candidate of the SPD in Berlin, Paulin Nusser, direct candidate of the FDP for the Treptow-Köpenick district, Franziska Dezember, direct candidate of the CDU for the Berlin-Pankow district, and other representatives of the democratic parties to the Foundation on 17 February for a panel discussion on the 2025 Bundestag elections.

We are therefore delighted to welcome Clara Ludwig, from Brand New Bundestag, Pola Lehmann, research associate at the Social Science Research Centre Berlin, and Juliane Baruck, from ‘Es geht Los’, to the Pop-Up Room of the Amerika Gedenkbibliothek on Tuesday, 11 February at 18:00.

Look forward to our traditional European Advent Concert, an evening full of music, inspiring speeches, poems and stories. With, among others, former German President Joachim Gauck, the actress and singer Sophie Rois, the Berlin State and Cathedral Choir, the well-known Berlin chanson singer Klaus Hoffmann, the Dutch artist Renee van Bavel and the chamber singer Michaela Kaune.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Andrej Holm to the Foundation on 5 December at 5:15 pm to discuss housing as the new social issue of our time.

We look forward to welcoming Carla Hinrichs from the Last Generation to the Foundation on 3 December at 5.15 p.m. on the topic ‘Potentials and challenges of international protest movements - The Last Generation and civil disobedience’.
