Courses

As part of our educational network Understanding Europe, we offer workshops for and by young people in 11 European countries. The digital and analogue formats for pupils and young people aged 14 and older focus on topics related to Europe, the media and political participation. They teach competences of democratic citizenship education and advocate for a Europe of openness, inclusiveness, solidarity. All course formats and materials are freely available.

Our Courses

EU-Crash-Course

Here, pupils are taught basic knowledge, current debates and personal points of connection to the EU and Europe.
Media-Crash-Course

The new format interactively deals with fake news and hate speech and shows strategies for a mindful and democratic use of digital media.

Facts & Figures

Every year, about 150 young trainers and 12,500 students at general and vocational schools in 12 European countries are active in the educational network.
The formats follow the peer education approach: young trainers act as moderators and discussion partners at eye level.
In 2020, all our educational offers were digitalised and can thus be used even more flexibly.
