Histories of European (Dis-)Integration

These timeline cards show stories of EU (dis-)integration and address questions such as: Why was the EU founded? Which countries are part of it and is it possible to leave the EU? Which problems does democracy face in Europe?

The illustrations show important steps on the way to European integration between 1967 and 2019. But they also take a look at setbacks in this development – for example the referendums among the electorate in France and the Netherlands against a European constitution in 2005 and, of course, Brexit in 2016. Moreover, the cards also reflect on important events inside and outside the EU that has an impact on its history.

These cards can be used to create a visually appealing and informative timeline.
