“I’m the Only One Who Still Holds These Memories” – A Talk with Contemporary Witness Willi Jörling

We are pleased to invite you to the event “I’m the Only One Who Still Holds These Memories” – A Talk with Contemporary Witness Willi Jörling. The event will take place on Friday, 12 December 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ort der Information in Berlin.

Willi Jörling, born Wagner, comes from Münster. Even at 84, he vividly remembers the night in March 1943, when the National Socialists broke into his home and deported his family from Brinkstraße. Most of his relatives were murdered in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, including three children who were subjected to experiments by Dr. Josef Mengele. Willi Jörling was the only child in his family to survive—the only one who still holds these memories. Until now, he has rarely shared his experiences publicly.

We are honoured to welcome Mr Jörling for this conversation at the Ort der Information on Friday, 12 December 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

We kindly ask for binding registration by 11 December 2025 via email to events@schwarzkopf-stiftung.de.

Please note that this event is exclusively intended for school classes and students, and that the talk will be conducted in German.
