On February 27 and 28, 200 young people from across Europe will meet in Berlin to attend a programme focusing on a wide range of topics connected to security policy. Registration for the waiting list is possibly until January 31.
The Conference is a new initiative for security policy education, organized by the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe and the non-profit Hertie Foundation. At a time when international conflicts and security policy issues are becoming increasingly relevant, we want to give you and other young people the opportunity to engage intensively with these issues and make your perspectives heard.
From February 27 to 28, 2025, around 200 young people from across Europe will come together in Berlin. In different working groups, you will have the opportunity to inform yourself about current security policy issues, exchange ideas, and highlight the concerns of your generation. The topics of the working groups are based on the Munich Security Report but also highlight other aspects of security. They cover issues such as technology, environment, transatlantic relations, democracy and resilience.
In addition to the working groups, you can look forward to interactive formats such as a World Café, Fishbowl discussions, and information booths. The highlight of the conference will be a ceremonial closing discussion at Berlin’s Red Town Hall, where results of the working groups will be presented and discussed with high-level guests.
The Young European Security Conference does not only offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge but also to engage with decision-makers, experts and like-minded young people.
The conference language is English, no prior knowledge of security policy or other topics is required.
Further details on the programme will be published on this page shortly.
