Beyond a Single Story

The Instagram channel “Beyond a Single Story” sensitizes multipliers in child and youth welfare on the living environments of people with immigration backgrounds and serves as a platform for diversity-oriented information and exchange.

What does the Instagram channel do?

Through simple share content in the form of images and videos on pedagogical handouts as well as the everyday realities of the migration society, scientific concepts and diverse networks are made visible and pedagogical concepts are put into practice.

With interactive formats such as live talks, stories and presentations of projects and associations, the channel offers a “best practice” for digital pedagogical mediation on topics of the migration society and serves as a service point for the spread of further education and networking offers.

Who is it addressed to?

In addition to interested parties, the channel is aimed at professionals in (open) child and youth welfare (social workers and pedagogues, social psychologists, etc.), in youth welfare management and committees (heads of child and youth welfare institutions as well as committed people and multipliers in child and youth welfare) as well as national and local associations and networks in child and youth welfare.
