The travel journal 2023 takes readers through Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki, highlighting historical and contemporary aspects of migration and colonial influence. It features texts on Black perspectives in European travel history, personal experiences of travelers of color, city-specific challenges, reflection questions, and space for personal stories.
Our new educational material is part of our „Postmigrant Europe“ project, which encompasses an Instagram account, group trips, and educational content, shedding light on migrant history’s impact on societies and people’s lives.
The travel grant program by the Schwarzkopf Foundation aims to provide young people aged 18-27 from diverse backgrounds in all 47 Council of Europe countries the chance to experience Europe. The program encourages socially marginalized individuals with political awareness to engage actively in European civil society. It includes individual subsidies and group travel, focusing on postmigrant and postcolonial perspectives.
